Meanings :--

                      To lower in character.

                     To reduce the quality or value of something.

                        गुणवत्ता या महत्त्व  कम करना , कटौती करना 

Synonyms :--

                      Depreciate, Deteriorate

Example :--

                        If a sport is played with a felling of hatred  instead of the sportsman spirit, then it debases the prestige of the game.
