Meanings :-- 

                          Talk maliciously about someone who is not present.

                      To say unpleasant and unkind thing about someone who is not there.

                           चुगली करना , पीठ पीछे निंदा करना 

Synonyms :--

                             Criticize , Disrepute

Meanings :-- 

                           He keeps backbiting, that's why I avoid  talking to him.

                           We shouldn't backbite, as it exhibits our negativity.
